«Art Nouveau and Venetian accents»
The interior of the cottage. Implementation.

2004 Moscow region Solnechnogorsk district.
When planning a cottage reconstruction a customer’s ideas were to use easy and smooth
lines for inside interior and strict and laconic forms for facade design. The old project house
built few years ago was removed and we left only supporting walls and a hall staircase. We
totally reconstructed a façade, made a new roof and added to a main façade entrance 2 level
glass element to make a hall and a winter garden. A customer was surprisingly fascinated by
décor style Art Nouveau when selecting furniture. Following the design project the architect
enhanced décor with sooth lines for the surroundings, created more level spaces for walls
and a ceiling of a living room and a dining room on the ground floor and for a hall, a
bedroom and children’s room on the first floor. Wall niches were painted with Venetian
plaster in various colors in harmony with design conception and decor style. Venetian
features were exposed also in glass décor items such as stained glass ornament windows in
the kitchen, lamp shape in the hall, bedrooms, children’s room and a living room.
