Long time trips and living in Europe inspired a client to reconstruct his townhouse in Moscow
suburb and make it more beautiful and comfortable for life. English style describes quality and
artistic conservatism. That’s why it was advised by the architect. The ground floor was zoned the
following way: a hall with wardrobes, sanitary and technical rooms and a large living room. The
living room with fireplace and stair was divided into two functional areas: a dining room and a relax
zone. All wooden furnishing was made from oak following English tradition. High ceilings of the
first floor with an extra upper space allowed to build mezzanine level in the children’s rooms where
more wardrobes were incorporated. Relax and working area took a space under mezzanine level.
Some wall fragments in the main bed-room were faced by brick tiles, a tapestry was hang over the
bed and iron curtain cornice with tulle was fixed on the windows. These features harmonized
beautifully with aristocratic English style.
