«Black and white harmony»
Reconstruction of the facade. Architectural project.
Art Deco. Area 710 sq.m.
2007 New Moscow, Vidnoye, to the village of Sosnovy Bor
A house in an old cottage village looked depressive. The box built of silicate and red brick with a
gable roof did not impress anymore new owners. They decided to change a design for a house and
to make it more fashion. The architect proposed its own concept in laconic manner with emphasis
on art deco style. The customer liked elegant and simple forms of the architectural project. The
house was divided into two parts dislocated from one another. One part of the house was faced with
square light grey polished porcelain tiles, the second part of the house was faced with large
rectangular tiles. These big format rectangular tiles were made of black porcelain stoneware with
metalized smudges and looked trendy and stylish. Compositions of light grey squares made of
limestone were placed above black tiles on the façade. They perfectly suited Ar-deco style. Three-
level, glass building with a SPA zone and a solarium added to back side façade defined its design
structure.
