A hotel with apartments, a spa salon and a restaurant were designed for a new single building. The
customer decided to zone a restaurant on the basement floor. The lack of a separated entrance to a
basement from the street set the implementation of a design project. First the architect prepared the
sketches to define a common design concept, then he proceeded with implementation of the
entrance elements project. The idea of an Italian restaurant outlined a theme for interior
surroundings. Italy and Venice Carnival took a primary point in sketches implementation. The
extension of the main building, which housed the entrance to the semi-basement, imitated a part of
the wall in the old Italian city. The greenish-grey facade tile, architectural elements from white aged
limestone bring us to Florence, to Venice of Renaissance era. You finally feel you are on the
Carnival only when you find yourself inside a restaurant. Interior design leaves no doubt about it.
