Reconstruction of the cottage. Project.
European frame construction style.
Area 480m2
2010 New Moscow, k / pos. The European Valley.
Most of the cottages near Moscow, built in the 90s, looked like simple no plastered red brick houses
with a gable roof. Usually they were not completed due to lack of money. Our house was a typical
example of this kind. A new owner asked for the design project of façade reconstruction included
terrace extension. The architect offered a frame structure model typical for European old houses. As
an extra relax area covered glazed veranda with a balcony and outdoor terrace with summer tea
zone were proposed. The idea of the architect was to leave a part of façade brickwork untouched.
Another part of façade planned to be plastered and tinted in light grey color. Arched green and
white sun blinds were placed in 3 openings over entrance group, they perfectly harmonized with sun
and wind terrace protections. Upper part of main and back façade was decorated with brown fiber
concrete beams that imitated frame construction.
